Table of Blessings: Your Monthly Mobile Pantry
If you or someone you know needs food assistance in Plano, you’re not alone—and help is closer than you might think. With Texas leading the nation in hunger for the second consecutive year and the Dallas-Fort Worth area ranking third nationally for the number of people experiencing food insecurity, local pantries are working harder than ever to ensure every neighbor has access to nutritious food.
Here’s what you need to know about accessing food resources right here in our community.
Table of Blessings: Your Monthly Mobile Pantry
Table of Blessings operates as a mobile food pantry serving Plano residents on the third Wednesday of each month at Preston Meadow Lutheran Church. As an official feeding partner of the North Texas Food Bank, we distribute fresh produce, protein, dairy, and pantry staples—all at no cost and with no judgment.
When you visit Table of Blessings:
• You never have to leave your vehicle. TOB places food into the trunk of your car.
• No appointment needed—just come during distribution hours
• Expect a warm welcome from fellow neighbors who care

Understanding the Current Need
The demand for food assistance has grown significantly. In the 25 counties served by the North Texas Food Bank and Tarrant Area Food Bank, more than 1.3 million individuals struggle with hunger—a 12% rise from the previous year. Following the 2025 federal government shutdown, regional food banks like Tarrant Area Food Bank reported spending more than half their annual food budget in just three months due to surging demand. These pressures affect all of us, which is why community-based pantries like Table of Blessings are so essential.
Beginning January 2025, Denton County consolidated services under Tarrant Area Food Bank for improved efficiency, while North Texas Food Bank continues serving the 13-county area that includes Collin County.
No Shame in Asking for Help
Whether you’re facing a temporary setback, living on a fixed income, or stretching every dollar—food pantries exist to support you. Registering is easy. There are no long waiting lists and absolutely no judgment. You’re our neighbor, and neighbors help neighbors.
When One Pantry Can’t Meet All Your Needs
Many families visit multiple pantries throughout the month to ensure adequate food for their households. This is completely normal and encouraged. Each pantry has different distribution schedules and available items, so using several resources helps you maintain consistent access to nutritious food.
Tip: Keep a list of pantry phone numbers and distribution dates on your phone or refrigerator so you always know when help is available.
If you need food assistance, don’t wait. Visit Table of Blessings or any of the pantries listed above. If you’re able to help, consider volunteering or donating to support your neighbors. Together, we’re building a Plano where no one goes hungry. Visit tableofblessings.org to learn more about our next distribution event or follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
